Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has played down reports of a deal for Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini.
Speaking after Tottenham scraped through to the Carling Cup final with a 6-4 aggregate win over Burnley, Redknapp said: "I don't know anything about Cudicini."
Redknapp has been looking for cover and competition for Heurelho Gomes, who has settled down after a nightmare start to his Premier League career where he made a number of high-profile errors. Redknapp kept faith with the keeper as he had little in reserve.
Gomes has recently been playing with a groin injury while his understudy, Cesar Sanchez, has been allowed to join Valencia until the end of the season.
That has left Spurs with only 22-year-old Ben Alnwick, who made a jittery debut in the Carling Cup semi-final clash at Burnley, as cover.
