Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp can't understand why Fabio Capello has left Peter Crouch out of his England squad.
Crouch was not selected for the Holland friendly and upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia and Croatia and Redknapp is at odds to work out why.
"I think for me, personally, I'd always have Crouchie in my squad because he gives you something completely different to anybody else," he said.
"Even if he's on the bench, he can come on if games are tight and you can't play through teams, you can go longer and play off him. I just think he's a must for any squad because he's different to anybody else.
"He got left out before I picked my first team. It wasn't as if he got left out at Tottenham and then got left out by England. It's up to the manager and Carlton Cole has burst on to the scene a bit."
