Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes is being backed for an England return by Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp.

Redknapp, England manager elect, is convinced Scholes can make not only the squad but the team.

He said: "You'd love to have Scholes at the Euros. He'd be in your team, he's that good. He plays like a Spaniard, like Xavi and Andres Iniesta. He doesn't give the ball back."
