Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp can't believe Newcastle United midfielder Joey Barton's brain fade this week.
In his column for The Sun, Redknapp wrote: " When I see Joey Barton lashing out like he did against Blackburn the other night, I have to wonder just what is going on in the boy's head.
"There was absolutely no reason for the Newcastle midfielder to react like he did to Morten Gamst Pedersen, who is not exactly the most physical player in the game.
"Now he has got a three-match ban from the FA after the TV cameras picked him up throwing an uppercut that would have floored Audley Harrison.
"And my God how the Toon are going to miss him because he's been playing brilliantly this season.
"I really like Barton as a player because he knows how to win matches and has a good football brain.
"Whenever I hear him being interviewed he always comes across as a bright, articulate fella with a real passion for the game.
"Yet it seems he just cannot stay out of trouble and now he has let himself down and given the authorities the perfect excuse to hammer him again."
