Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp admits trialist Stephen Appiah would be a long-term prospect.

Redknapp revealed: "He's going to play in a reserve match against Reading today. I'm going to watch them play in the afternoon and make a decision on him.

"If he can get back to his best, he is a top, top player. He has had an injury, and his fitness is way below what you'd hope it to be but he's worked hard."
