Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp was impressed by Marseille striker Loic Remy during last night's scouting check. He is ready to urge chairman Daniel Levy to make a bid of around £15million.
Remy, who has scored four times in 17 games for France, hit 15 goals for Marseille last season.
Redknapp said: "We have had good reports so I thought I'd have a look - but I could be golfing."
Marseille are willing to sell despite still being in the Champions League.
Remy, 25, was in action against Lille and Redknapp added: "I don't know whether we can sign him but I need to keep trying."
