Tottenham boss Juande Ramos risks losing the dressing room, it has been revealed.
The Mirror says Ramos is understood to have promised the board that he will turn things around quickly and the hierarchy agree that this is the time for Spurs to start acting like a big club and give the manager the time he needs to identify the problems and rectify them.
One of those problems is a strained relationship with a number of players. David Bentley has already confronted Ramos about the inconsistencies of his selection policy, while Michael Dawson, Tom Huddlestone and Aaron Lennon are known to feel disaffected.
Stand-in skipper Jermaine Jenas said: "Sometimes it is difficult to point a finger straight after games and go all guns blazing. We know we were not up to our standard at Portsmouth."
