Tottenham boss Juande Ramos will return to former club Sevilla for defender Julien Escude in January.

DiarioSport says Ramos considers it vital to stiffen his defence and one of the first names he's asked the Spurs board for is Escude, who can play at centre-half and left-back.

The young Frenchman was a regular in Ramos' first team last season, but has struggled this term due to a preseason pelvic injury.
