Tottenham boss Juande Ramos has dismissed concerns that Dimitar Berbatov was photographed signing a Manchester United shirt.
"But if he does play, Tottenham fans are the same as anyone and get behind the side. If he starts scoring goals, then those fans who were booing him last week will be cheering him.
"In my career as a manager, I've signed countless shirts. If a fan asks for an autograph you cannot control what they put in front of you. It could be a blank piece of paper with an IOU for £1 million. I believe he was superb [for Bulgaria] so let's hope he has something left in the tank to give us a victory on Saturday."
Ramos declined to add to the speculation surrounding Berbatov. ''I don't get involved in these decisions,'' he said. ''You need to ask the chairman about any offers or bids which have taken place."
