Tottenham boss Ramos admits summer sales

Tottenham boss Juande Ramos admits he will have to sell some members of his squad before he can bring new faces to White Hart Lane.

The Spaniard, who replaced former boss Martin Jol in October, is expected to overhaul his inherited squad in the summer and he has been tipped to raid former club Sevilla for winger Diego Capel, while Atletico Madrid forward Diego Forlan has also been rumoured as a potential target.

Spurs' star striker Dimitar Berbatov has been consistently linked with a move to Manchester United and Ramos has confessed he will be forced to sell some of his players to raise funds for a summer spending spree.

He told the Daily Star: "We have to see how this season finishes before we decide on what players leave and what ones we sign.

"We do not have a stipulated amount of money for transfers. It all depends on the income we get from the players we sell.

"We cannot have a squad which is too big. If players come in, then others will have to leave."
