Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino wants to keep hold of Jan Vertonghen.

The Mirror says Pochettino insists his move for Villarreal defender Mateo Musacchio won't squeeze out Vertonghen.

In fact, Tottenham are hoping to conclude negotiations over a new deal with the Belgian soon.

Pochettino sees the Musacchio and Vertonghen as a potential centre-back pairing with new capture Eric Dier seen as back-up.
