Tottenham boss Pochettino warns Alli: You must keep your cool against England ref

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino will aim to keep the behavior of Dele Alli in check when Spurs take on Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The game will mark the first time that Alli will come face to face with referee Clement Turpin since he swore in his direction while Turpin refereed the international between England and Slovakia in September.

The incident led to a one match international ban for the 21-year-old Alli who claimed that he had been jokingly swearing at team-mate Kyle Walker.

If Alli does end up playing during the game, Pochettino will be aiming to keep him at his best behavior.

"Always it is important to be aware of the situation," he said. "I will tell Dele to be careful if he plays tomorrow. The ref will move on, with nothing on his mind."
