Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is tightlipped on their new contract plans for Toby Alderweireld.
Alderweireld currently earns around £50,000-a-week – although it has been reported it includes a £25 million release fee.
Spurs are refusing to budge on their strict wage policy, with chairman Daniel Levy failing to make a breakthrough in negotiations as the stopper attempts to get the last big contract of his career.
The 28-year-old could seek a move away unless he is able to come to a compromise.
Pochettino said: “It's his decision and our decision. There's still two and a half years.
“We look forward to staying with him.
“The club is going to take that decision for every player for the player to be happy.
“The players show their commitment.
“I am so calm how Daniel Levy manages all the contracts of the players. I am not concerned about this."
