Tottenham boss Pochettino says Sissoko can improve their play

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino says Moussa Sissoko can improve their play this season.

The 27-year-old boasts plenty of Premier League experience, courtesy of his spell at Newcastle, and could make his Spurs debut against Stoke this weekend with Erik Lamela likely to be rested after returning from international duty with Argentina.

"He is a player who can help us a lot," Pochettino insisted.

"Last season at Newcastle and the Euros he was fantastic. It is another player who can help us. [We have a] very good squad.

"He is a player who can bring experience, fast, strong and different possibilities to play.

"When you play a lot of games with a lot of competitions to play, you need to keep your level.

"He arrived yesterday and I think he is in good condition. Tomorrow I decide if he's in the squad or not."
