Tottenham boss Pochettino ready to try again for Everton attacker Barkley

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is ready to try again to sign Everton attacker Ross Barkley.

Barkley was a summer target for Tottenham, but they could not agree a deal and the Merseyside club are likely to put him up for sale as his contract expires at the end of the season, says the Mirror.

Despite the emergence of youngster Harry Winks, Tottenham are still keen on Barkley and chairman Daniel Levy is likely to try to push through a cut-price deal.

“No decision at the moment if we are going to move in January," he said.

“Talking to (chairman) Daniel Levy and Steve and we are focused on every position on the pitch, to be vigilant and aware of what we need to do.

“At the moment no decision, we are happy and expect Victor and Mousa to recover.

“We are concerned about his (Wanyama's) situation, must wait to see what happens when he sees the specialist. we have no clear idea what is going on.

“It's difficult to explain on Mousa. He had incident in training and complained about pain in hip. He cannot complete intensity of the training."
