Harry Kane could see a big dip in form this summer according to Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The 21-year old striker scored a double as Spurs defeated a Malaysia XI 2-1 in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday but Pochettino can see his energy tumbling as the U21 European Championship with England beckons.
"Yes, for him it's difficult to keep that momentum," Pochettino said.
"It's difficult after a long, long season. He now has another challenge in the next few weeks to play for the Under 21s and try to win the title.
"But I think he is focused on his job and he is sure he can do a very good job.
"But (after the Euros) he needs to rest, have a holiday and start the pre-season with us again."
Kane enjoyed a breakout season with Tottenham, scoring 21 Premier League goals and 31 in all competitions for the north London club, as well as netting on his senior England debut in March.
