Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is happy to see Vincent Janssen hit the ground running at Fenerbahce.

The Dutchman is on a season-long loan at Fener and is already amongst the goals.

Pochettino remarked: "He eventually wanted to go away and decided to go to Turkey. I wish him the best. We are glad he scored. It's good for him to work on his confidence again.

"Here it sometimes works, sometimes not. You know if you have Harry Kane as a competitor, it's not easy. Also not to motivate yourself and give everything every day.

"It is important for him to score. Often players struggle in their first season in England. If you come from the Dutch league, that is another level."
