Tottenham boss Pochettino hails 'fantastic' FA Cup win

Tottenham were comfortable winners as they defeated Swansea City in the FA Cup quarterfinals on Saturday.

First-half strikes from Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela put the visitors firmly in the driving seat at the break, before Eriksen struck again in the second-half as Swansea found themselves with limited opportunities in front of their home support.

It was a fantastic performance," said Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino. “We were clinical, we dominated, we had possession, we created chances, everything.

"Michel's save at the start of the second half was massive for us but it was the only chance they created.

“The team played so well, 3-0…we deserved more. I'm happy with how we dominated and how we managed the game. We showed great maturity.

“It keeps a very good momentum for us. The squad is working so hard and sometimes it's difficult for a manager to be fair with everyone and give everyone the possibility to play, but that is football.

"I'm very pleased for the players and the fans. It's important to go to the semi-finals and to have the possibility to fight for the trophy."
