Tottenham boss Pochettino expects Kane back inside month

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino expects Harry Kane back within a month.

Kane picked up an ankle ligament injury during their 6-0 thrashing of Millwall in the quarter-final of the FA Cup last Sunday.

He suffered a similar injury at the start of the season in September which saw him miss eight weeks of action.

He will miss Sunday's clash with Pochettino's former club Southampton and after the international beak Spurs face Burnley, Swansea, Watford and Bournemouth – fixtures they should win.

Pochettino said: “We need to assess him day by day. He's positive and he's talking about after the international break…three or four weeks.

“That's good but we need to be careful with his injury. We have full trust in our doctors and physios and hope that as soon as possible he can be available again.

“If not four weeks it's five weeks but he's positive and if you're positive it can help injuries in a big way."
