Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino does not regret handing Michel Vorm a start against Arsenal in the midweek Capital One Cup clash.
Pochettino allowed a host of his fringe players an opportunity to impress in the third round meeting with their North London rivals and one of the major changes was starting with goalkeeper Vorm in place of captain Hugo Lloris.
Vorm did not cover himself in glory with his performance on the night but Pochettino has defended the Dutchman's display.
He said: "It is a competition which is a good opportunity for him (Vorm) and we need to show more respect.
"Look at Arsenal - they played Ospina (over Petr Cech) and is the result is on the other side, then it would be the same question for (Arsene) Wenger. He deserves to play."
