Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino admits he's wanted to sign Inter Milan striker Keita Balde Diao.

Before last night's Champions League defeat, Pochettino spoke of his admiration for the young attacker.

"Yes it's true. I have followed him since he grew up in Barcelona while I was in Espanyol," revealed Pochettino.

"He is a player with an interesting profile for us, I wanted him but then he chose Monaco.

"But he is still a brilliant striker."

Keita is on-loan at Inter from AS Monaco this season.
