Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino admits Eric Dier is under pressure.

The Argentinean remains a big fan of Dier, who learned his football in Portugal as a kid.

But he warned: “We'll see what happens. Maybe last season there was only him, this season we want to improve our squad.

“Now the players need to feel the competition and there is Wanyama in his position.

“And don't forget Harry Winks too, who is coming and pushing a lot from behind. You have to look forward and carry on working."
