Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has refused to rule out a debut appearance for right-back Serge Aurier at Everton on Saturday.

The Ivory Coast international, who joined Spurs in a deadline day deal from PSG, was involved in action for his country during the international break.

"We need to assess him and see how he is because he played on Tuesday (for the Ivory Coast against Gabon), travelled back to Paris today and now from France to London," said the Argentine manager.

"It will be tough, but maybe he will be in contention…maybe. We'll have to see today and tomorrow."
