Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino feels privileged to be named in the same breath as his Atletico Madrid counterpart Diego Simeone.
The Spurs boss played alongside Simeone in the Argentina national team while also gracing the same pitches in Spain's La Liga for Espanyol and Atletico respectively.
Pochettino was asked if he still has a strong friendship with Simeone ahead of Friday's International Champions Cup clash between the two clubs in Melbourne and had plenty of kind words for the 46-year-old Los Colchoneros boss.
"We have a very good relationship when we played on the national team," said Pochettino.
"I think we have kept that relationship with him and with his assistant German Burgos, another great man and great professional too.
"I think it's fantastic that we see them tomorrow."
The Spurs boss was then compared to Simeone but quickly shut down the similarities except for the fact that they both harbour ambitions to one day manage Argentina.
"If you are comparing Diego with me, thank you, because it is big praise," he added.
"I consider him one of the best manager's in the world. He deserves credit because it is difficult to take a team like Atletico Madrid to the Champions League final and also win the league in Spain.
"I know him very well and I'm sure it is in his plans to one day manager Argentina, like me, but I think it is not the right moment right now."
