As Blackburn Rovers prepare to listen to offers for towering centre-back Christopher Samba, one possible avenue of escape has been closed off as Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp denies interest. Samba wants away following Rovers controversial sacking of boss Sam Allardyce.
The Congo international was brought to Ewood Park from Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin by previous incumbent Mark Hughes and has been a powerful presence in the centre of Rovers defence since 2007.
And whilst Redknapp is an admirer of the defender he won't be taking advantage of his availability.
Redknapp said: "Samba's a good player who has done a great job at Blackburn.
"But I'm OK, I'm strong at centre-half so no, he wouldn't be a player I'd be looking to sign."
