Mauricio Pochettino suggests that Tottenham Hotspur will not expose their skilled youngsters too early.
The Argentine handed game time to a number of inexperienced players in their 2-1 defeat to Juventus as part of the 2016 International Champions Cup in Melbourne on Tuesday night.
The likes of Josh Onomah, Shayon Harrison, Will Miller, Harry Winks, Dominic Ball and Cameron Carter-Vickers all featured in the pre-season friendly at the MCG but it was Marcus Edwards who really caught the eye.
Regarding the performance of the teenager, Pochettino provided praise but was also quick to indicate that Spurs will show a great deal of care for a player that is seen as the future of the football club.
"I'm very happy with how my young players behaved and their performances too," he said.
"But it's fair to pay attention to Marcus, he is very talented.
"He is only 17 - and we must care for him in a very good way."
