Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood wants the Football Association to retrospectively punish players who feign injury. West Ham are currently contesting the red card shown to striker Andy Carroll for a challenge on Swansea's Chico Flores, who was widely condemned for his reaction following the incident.
Sherwood says: "One thing I would say, not just on that incident but about what we have been seeing recently, is the feigning of injury from players, which is something we want to keep out of the game.
"Retrospectively I would go back and punish the player who is diving around more than the player causing the offence. I think that is the only way you are going to ever cut it out, to go back and give them a higher punishment."
