Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is pushing to land Atletico Madrid striker Adrian.
The Spain U21 star has resisted a demand from Atletico to open new contract talks as he's keen to hear from Spurs boss Villas-Boas.
Adrian's contract carries a £16 million buyout clause and AVB believes it would be money well spent.
The striker could arrive as a direct replacement for Jermain Defoe, who is angling for a move away this summer.
