Tottenham boss AVB unhappy with Europa League axing

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is unimpressed by UEFA's plans to axe the Europa League.

AVB shot to fame by winning the Europa League with Porto in 2011.

And he is unhappy with UEFA's plans to axe the tournament and replace it with a larger version of the Champions League.

He said: "It's difficult for me to accept. Most clubs are in a difficult financial situation. Increasing the Champions League means you have to remove the name 'Champions' out of it as it would not make any sense."
