Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is chasing Barcelona winger Ibrahim Afellay.

The Daily Star Sunday says Villas-Boas wants more midfield options next season and Afellay has the ability to play wide, or just behind the front man, like his compatriot Rafael van der Vaart once did at White Hart Lane.

Barcelona have been reluctant to sell previously but the arrival of Brazilian Neymar means they will listen to any offers over £8million.
