Tottenham boss Andre Villas-boas admits he got his selection of Gareth Bale wrong.

The Welshman lined up as a left back in Sunday's Premier League encounter against Queens Park Rangers.

Villas-Boas told The Sun: "We decided to play with Gareth at left-back because we thought he would give us more width.

"But we were much more steady in the second half when we made changes."
