Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has held clear the air talks with Michael Dawson.

He dropped newly-appointed captain Dawson, 28, for their opening three games and tried to sell him in the transfer window.

But AVB is preparing to welcome him back after his team's poor start.

Defender Younes Kaboul is also out until Christmas following knee surgery.

AVB said: "We have chatted. Younes' operation means he's out and it is up to Michael to compete. I'm sure he will come good."
