Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is delighted with the current form of Gylfi Sigurdsson.
The midfielder was outstanding in their Europa League win over Tottenham.
"Sigurdsson is finding his form and that is important for him," said Villas-Boas. "He came on very well in the game against West Ham and scored. We have given him strength and confidence to continue and he is doing ever so well. It was another great European night for him, too, and we can build on his confidence towards the future.
"We can finally see the important role that he played for Swansea last season here with Tottenham. It didn't work out before for different reasons. Some players take more time to adapt.
"Obviously, with Sigurdsson it demanded a change of position because we found comfort in a 4-4-2 and he found it difficult to break into the team on the wings.
"Still, he made some great games, particularly against Chelsea in the home game that we lost.
"He is now playing with more confidence and he has the confidence of the coach, which is important. It can make a difference in the rest of the season for him."
