Tottenham boss AVB demands Liverpool's Adam apologise to Bale

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has called on Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam to apologise to Gareth Bale.

Liverpool hardman Adam has still not apologised for his X-rated lunge on Spurs ace Bale in Saturday's friendly in Baltimore.

Spurs boss AVB confirmed that his club are considering taking the matter further by reporting the incident to the FA. He said: "We are discussing it within the club.

"In my opinion, it would be extremely human for Charlie to come out with an apology. But you can't force people to say anything and we will have to wait and see what happens."

Furious Bale insisted after the game he would not accept any apology from Adam.
