Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is delighted with the form of Jermain Defoe.
Defoe is fifth in the club's all-time scorers' list with 141 goals - behind Jimmy Greaves, Bobby Smith, Chivers and Cliff Jones.
Villas-Boas told The Sun: "The player represents Tottenham history and he is hopefully going to achieve a great individual achievement.
"We just need to enjoy the player and how he is playing at the moment and see how good and decisive he has been for the club.
"I've been paying tribute to the player not only through his records but also through the confidence that I have had in him this season and last season."
