Tottenham are ready to sign West Ham United midfielder Scott Parker for £6 million.
Hammers rejected a £5m Spurs bid on Friday for the midfielder.
West Ham manager Sam Allardyce said: "The negotiations are extremely complex, and I am in continual touch with the chairman.
"If negotiations go through, it has to be because the outcome suits West Ham as far as possible.
"If we lose Scott we are down to 17 outfield players and that is not enough."
