Tottenham are chasing Roma midfielder Julio Baptista.

Datasport says Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is stepping up his pursuit of Baptista, who can play in midfield and as a centre-forward.

Baptista wants out of Roma this summer and has gone public over his unhappiness with coach Claudio Ranieri.

The Brazil international has previous experience in England with Arsenal.
