Tottenham to bid big for Roma striker Vucinic

Roma striker Mirko Vucinic is set to attract a bumper bid from Tottenham.

The Daily Mail says Spurs are ready to offer £17million plus Roman Pavlyuchenko for Roma striker Vucinic, according to reports in Italy.

Manchester United are also interested, but the offer from Spurs would be well above what they were looking to spend on the Montenegro striker.

The Italian club's financial problems and uncertainties over when a takeover will be materialise mean any transfer in or out is currently on hold.

Roma coach Luciano Spalletti is keen to sign Roman Pavlyuchenko and hopes to land the Russia international on loan if a the Vucinic transfer cannot be agreed.
