Tottenham backtrack on Zaha after Crystal Palace name asking price

Tottenham have reportedly backed away from the idea of signing Wilfried Zaha during this transfer window.

Spurs were among a number of top Premier League clubs interested in signing Zaha.

However, they are put off by the £70 million valuation that Palace have put on their star player.

It is a figure that Spurs are not prepared to pay, the Evening Standard has claimed.

And now it appears that Zaha will be offered a new deal at Palace.

He signed a five-year deal last summer, but another offer will bump him up to the highest earner at the club.
