Tottenham are lining up a swap offer for CSKA Moscow striker Seydou Doumbia.
The People says Spurs are ready to use Roman Pavlyuchenko as bait to snare Doumbia.
The 23-year-old is wanted by several Premier League clubs but Spurs believe they can tempt CSKA by throwing Russian striker Pavlyuchenko into the deal.
Doumbia has been a prolific scorer at Swiss club Young Boys and now CSKA, with his club slapping a £30million price tag on the Ivory Coast star.
But Spurs believe they can get that price down, especially with a swap for Pavlyuchenko, who remains a regular starter for Russia despite his lack of games.
