Stoke City striker Peter Crouch doubts that Tottenham star Harry Kane will be able to replicate his stunning form of last season.

Kane scored 31 goals for the North London club in his breakthrough season but he is yet to find his scoring touch at club level in seven outings so far this term.

The former Spurs striker told talkSPORT: "I would be very surprised if he manages to score 30-odd goals again, as he did last year.

"It's just so difficult to replicate that. He was a surprise package last season, so defenders will be keeping more of an eye on his this year.

"It's going to be more difficult for him, but I expect him to score goals.

"He's a quality finisher; I love watching him play and I love his hunger and desire.

"He's confident in his own ability and he's scored goals for England this season, so he will come good. He's too good not to."
