Tottenham ace Jermain Defoe credits gaffer Harry Redknapp and strikers coach Les Ferdinand for his success this season.

He said: "Harry just says to me 'go out there and enjoy yourself. I know you're going to score goals because you're one of the best strikers in League'.

"He's like that with all the players. He gives us confidence and knows how to get the best from us.

"Les is a bit stiffer than he was when he was a player but he's been great for me. I speak to Les all the time, even during the close season. He makes sure I never get complacent."
