Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe admits he's more worried about what his Mum has to say after games than manager Harry Redknapp.
Defoe spoke to Christian O'Connell on the Absolute Radio Breakfast show this morning taking part in 'Who's Scoring Christian', a week long charitable campaign where listeners encourage football legends to call up Christian with a massive £10,000 up for grabs.
Asked what he was doing on his day off, Defoe said: "Chill out, have some lunch then visit my mum and listen to her moan at me. She knows it's my day off and she's already called me. She'll be on the phone for about an hour.
"That's the reason why I've had to calm down over the years. She always tells me off."
Asked if he was more scared of his mum than Redknapp, Defoe replied: "100%, she is always on at me. It's pretty scary."
