Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe is desperate for an injury-free 2011.
Defoe has only started five league games for the club following his lengthy absence with an ankle ligament problem he sustained for England back in September.
He said: "It has been a stop start season for me. I don't think I have had a season like this when I have missed so many games.
"I didn't have a pre-season because of the summer [World Cup]. I got back from injury and then got suspended.
"I don't feel I should have got sent off - it was an accident. I had my eye on the ball the whole time.
"When you have been injured you come back buzzing, but then I got sent off and it was hard to take. I stayed positive and it was a chance for me to do some more work in the gym and get stronger."
