Tottenham ace Adebayor sought Arsenal help over Twitter ruck

Tottenham star Emmanuel Adebayor needed help from a former Arsenal teammate after getting in trouble on Twitter.

The Daily Star Sunday says Adebayor, 27, on loan from Man City, used the social-networking site to goad Gunners fans about the ten-point gap in the Premier League between Harry Redknapp's team and their bitter north London rivals.

He taunted fans about the fact Arsene Wenger's side have gone almost seven years without winning a trophy.

Arsenal fans have never forgiven the Togo ace for moving to City and then celebrating wildly in front of them at the Etihad two seasons ago.

And after a barrage of Twitter abuse, Adebayor begged Frimpong to help.

He tweeted: "Leave Mr Adebayor alone please."

Adebayor subsequently deleted his tweets.
