Tottenham have struck terms with Real Madrid for the sale of Luka Modric.
The Telegraph says Modric will finally leave Tottenham Hotspur this week after a deal worth up to 42 million (£33.3 million) was on Saturday agreed with Real Madrid.
The Modric deal falls short of the £40 million demanded by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy but the club have decided it is in everyone's interests for him to leave.
He is expected to sign a five-year contract at Real with part of the fee made up of bonuses and money to be received from exhibition matches opening up the prospect of a friendly between the two clubs.
