Totenham boss Redknapp: Deal for Chelsea winger Cole tough
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp can't see a deal for Chelsea winger Joe Cole being successful.
The England midfielder has still to sign a new contract at Chelsea, with his deal due to expire at the end of the season, and Redknapp is thought to have been following the situation closely.
“I love Joe and he is fantastic but I have Niko Kranjcar and Luka Modric who are two fantastic players,” Redknapp told the London Evening Standard.
“I'm sure Chelsea won't let him go and I'm sure that this situation will be resolved. I have two players who can play on the left-hand side of midfield and two who can play on the right.
“We were not looking to do too much during the transfer window but circumstances changed, with Eidur Gudjohnsen becoming available and Robbie Keane wanting to leave.”

@King Hell EPL: "Keane did not want to leave...you could see it in his eyes when they had the press conference."
Really, that is your reasoning? Keane did want to leave because his eyes told you so? You surely have to realise how absurd that sounds to a reader.
This is what I got from Keane' s body language since he's came back from his Anfield experiment: Shame and embarrassment. You don't say what he said expecting to go back to your previous club within six-months. He hasn't shaken the Berbatov affect and Defoe has taken his chances well enough to warrant his starting position. It is almost as if Keane has to reinvent himself to get back to how he was before. Celtic could be good for him, maybe a permanent move is on the books.
As for Joe Cole, regardless of who we have we do not have a player like Joe Cole. We will instantly become a better attacking threat with him in the team, as he would be for any one else. The closest comparison is Modric but with pace. If only Bentley and Kranjcar could increase their pace.
krankkar? who is krankkar? i just know niko kranjcar and he is top class player. you smuck
