Serbian defender Dusko Tosic is still in limbo but it is believed he is close to being given the all clear to presume his career with Swansea City.
The 25-year old left German club Werder Bremen set for Portsmouth in February this year but as a result of the Premier League club's financial position, he was unable to play a match for Pompey and had to leave within a month of signing for them.
After training with Championship club Swansea, Tosic is hoping he can join the club officially and help them push for promotion and Swans boss Paulo Sousa is keen to have him in the squad.
"We believe there is a way he could possibly play for us this season," the Portuguese coach said in Wales on Sunday.
