Fernando Torres has called on Liverpool to stand by manager Rafa Benitez.

Torres has voiced his support for Benitez and insisted Liverpool must stick by their under-fire manager.

"Benitez has shown he is the right man to take Liverpool forward," said the Spain striker.

"Now is the time for everybody here to stick together. We must be united to finish as high as possible in the Premier League.

"I am convinced that we will end up in the top four."
