Fernando Torres says Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is a greatest player he has worked with.

Spain star Torres has played alongside the likes of Real Madrid legend Raul, but says: "At Liverpool the captains are a lot older than me and that is good.

"I was Atletico captain at a very young age and did not know an awful lot.

"Now I look at what captains do and try to learn. They know how to win everybody's respect. They have great personalities.

"Gerrard is the best player I've trained with in my life."
